University of Louisiana at Lafayette

Campus Communion is a Christian college ministry in the Anglican tradition that seeks to invite students into union with God and each other through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do this by being rooted deep in the history and tradition of the Church and being made more like Christ through participation in Word, Sacrament, Prayer, and the Communion of Saints.

This invitation is open to all, no matter where you may be on your spiritual journey. We would love to connect with you.

Meet the Missionaries

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Romans 10:14-15

We are Adam and Holly Hunter, the Campus Missionaries for the very first chapter of Campus Communion at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. We moved to Lafayette from north Louisiana in April 2023 to partner with our church family in beginning this new ministry.

We are blessed to raise four amazing children (pictured below): Gideon (11), Tobias (10), Caspian (8), and Ivory (6). They are just as excited as we are to participate in the mission to bring the light of Christ to the campus of UL Lafayette.

I (Adam) am currently in Ministry Formation for ordination with the Anglican Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast. As Anglicans, we are seeking to take a holistic approach in discipleship, so that no matter what path in life a student takes, Christ and his Church will be at the center of it all. You can find out more about our vision for campus ministry in this article on Anglican Compass!

Whether you are a student, staff, faculty, or supporter, we hope you will join us on this adventure!
